Which Documents Are Required to Register on ESS Utumishi?
To successfully register on the ESS Utumishi Portal, you will need the following three documents:
- National ID Card Number
- Check Number
- Email Address
These documents are necessary to verify your identity. Once you have them ready, you can begin the registration process. If you already have an account, simply log in directly to your ESS portal.
How to Register on ESS Utumishi?
Go to the ESS Utumishi Portal
First, begin the registration process by clicking this link: ess.utumishi.go.tz/sessions/signin. This will take you to the ESS Portal.
Navigate to the Registration Section
Enter Your Check Number and ID
Once you click, the ESS registration form will appear on your screen. You will need to provide the following information:
- Check Number: Enter your check number in the upper section of the page. This number is provided by your employer.
- National ID Number: Enter your 20-digit National ID number in the next section.
- Email Address: Enter your valid, currently active email address in the following section.
- Email Confirmation: In the final section, re-enter your email address for confirmation.

Receive an Email
After clicking the button, you will receive an email from ESS Utumishi with your username and password details. These credentials are needed for logging into your account.
